The North Shore asks a lot of a supplier. It is seasonal, the volumes swing hard between a July Saturday and a November Tuesday, and a lot of the kitchens up here are small enough that a big distributor's minimums and delivery windows simply do not fit them.
That shape of business is most of what our trucks carry. Resorts, camps, supper clubs and small kitchens with uneven weeks are what a family distributor is built around — the $200 minimum is per order rather than per week, a quiet stretch costs you nothing, and nobody puts you on a plan that assumes July volumes in November.
We have been doing it since 1991, two generations of the family, about 6,600 items and our own trucks. Your rep comes to you, and the decisions about your account get made in Superior by people you can get on the phone.

We are small and seasonal. Does that work?

What happens in the winter when we close?
Nothing. There is no penalty for a quiet stretch or for shutting down entirely over the winter. Tell your rep when you are opening back up and the route picks you up again.
