Food distributor serving Spooner, Wisconsin

Thursdays in Spooner, every week, out of our own warehouse in Superior. A fixed day you can build a week around, with meats, produce, dry goods, kitchen and tableware, paper and disposables all on the one truck.

Spooner is one of the biggest days in our week. The whole US 53 corridor goes on that run — Trego, Shell Lake, Barronett and the lakes out toward Cumberland — and there is a lot on the truck by the time it leaves Superior.

Thursday is Thursday. Not most Thursdays, not Thursday-or-Friday depending on how the week went. A delivery day you can actually plan against is what lets an order guide do its job: you buy for the week you are having instead of reacting on a Wednesday afternoon, and your rep is the one who helps you get that guide right in the first place.

We have been at it since 1991 — two generations of the family, our own trucks, about 6,600 items on the list. Big enough to be your only supplier, small enough that the person who sells to you is the person who picks up the phone.

What comes off the truck

Four groups, thirty-plus brands, one delivery. Breadth is the point on a route like this — everything you need for the week comes off the same truck, on the same invoice.

Or search all 6,600 items by name, brand or item number before you call.

Starting an account

Four steps, about a week end to end.

  1. Taylor comes out

He is in the area anyway. He walks the kitchen, looks at what you already run, and helps you build a first order around it rather than around a catalog.

  2. Credit application

One page. Fill it in online or print it — it is read in Superior by someone who can say yes.

    Open the application
  3. Your order guide

The items you actually buy, in the order you actually count them, so ordering takes minutes instead of an afternoon.

  4. Thursday

Order by 4:00 PM the day before and it is on the truck.

Questions we get from Spooner, WI

What day do you deliver to Spooner?

Thursday, every week. Orders are due by 4:00 PM the day before, so Wednesday afternoon puts you on that truck.

Is Thursday ever moved?

Not as a habit. Holiday weeks shift things and we tell you in advance when they do — there is a notice on this website and your rep will have called you first.

What if we need something midweek?

Call your rep. A good deal gets sorted out between trucks, and you are talking to somebody in Superior who knows your account rather than a queue.

Do you deliver out to the lakes, or just into town?

Out to the lakes. Trego, Shell Lake, Barronett, Springbrook, Stone Lake and Cumberland are all on the same Thursday run.

Thursdays, and they do not move

One truck, one invoice, and a rep who drives the route himself. Call and we will get somebody out to walk your kitchen this week.
